Jorge Marcos Aguilar Fernández

Mr. Aguilar-Fernández obtained a bachelor’s degree in Law from Universidad Iberoamericana campus Mexico City in the year 2000. He later attained a Masters Degree (LLM) in International Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center where he graduated in 2008. He then worked at the firm Curtis Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP in New York City until the year 2009.

He started his professional career at Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa y Cía. S.C. where he became an Associate in the legal department. His practice has focused in litigation in several areas, as well as advising and consulting in wealth management, tax planning and creating succession vehicles for family businesses.

He has participated in several types of litigation including tax, civil and commercial matters. He has represented companies and natural persons. He has also partaken in the legal advisory for the creation of legal structures for asset protection of companies and families, with special emphasis on the tax implications of the creation and operation of those entities, as well as the obligations that are emanated before the competent authorities.

Mr. Aguilar has worked as an advisor in trust matters of fiduciary responsibilities in Mexico and abroad. He has established relationships with national and international financial institutions, which allow him to deliver an objective and independent advice to his clients.
